New Report Highlights Language Learning Challenges, and Opportunities

A recent Ynet report highlights an important challenge in Israel’s education system: significant gaps in language proficiency among students.

• Only 22% of 9th-grade students meet the expected level in English
• Just 38% meet the required level in their native language
• In Arabic-speaking schools, only 9% of students met the English requirements, compared to 27% in Hebrew-speaking schools
